Here’s video of me on Cavuto yesterday. Immediately after my spot former presidential candidate and actor, Fred Thompson, takes a shot at one of my comments. I don’t know how to take it, on one hand my views were dismissed, on the other hand my views were acknowledged by a guy I have enjoyed in movies for years…. Watching the Hunt For Red October will never be the same.
I have read summary after summary and other than a couple of things – like my kids can remain under my medical program until a later age provided they live at home and I cannot be denied coverage due to a pre-existing condition – I still do not understand what went into Obamacare, what it will mean to me and my family. I do know "it" does not kick in for a very long time, maybe 4 years?
Note in relation to the "65" and over "live longer" comment, it is a fact that for people who survive middle age diseases that may hit – like heart disease for example – and hit certain age milestones after – the odds of them living longer increases due to a "reserve" system built into there "system". This I read in a Time magazine study and in other articles. So, I think Medicare certainly helps – but there are other factors that science is just now beginning to understand that contribute to longevity.
I like Fred's beard. He would have won the nomination with that.
